MDE round 1 by BlackfyreValyrian MDE round 1 by BlackfyreValyrian
EDIT 2: After some CC I reshaded her skin, fixed her makeup, made her portrait hair a little longer, fixed her swim suit, fixed the Union Jack symbol, added a necklace (that's supposed to be an English crown dangling from it), fixed her sunglasses and fixed her font!

Many thanks to Shix, Parker/Zapatones, Holly, Cait, Batty, Keke, my brain twin and Phoe so far for all the CC ;u ; <33333

EDIT: the whites in her eyes and the flag on her top. I don't know how to fix the sunglasses :C

Holy mother of God. I've worked so long on this I can't even.

Okay so I still need critique on this so I can send it in since I have some time. On everything. Nitpick away! I've AA'd, redone the full body's eyes, taken out a background (that y'all didn't see you don't need to worry about anyway) changed the font twice, redone the handbag like a thousand times (no one saw that though) and blahblah either way she's still not done so CC ME.
I actually have all the progress somewhere >>;; at least I think. And since people keep asking me how I do stuff I can go see what I can salvage and make a In-Progress sheet of this. u.u;
I talk a lot.

This is Aly genderbent for MDE 2013. Obviously this is very AU because she isn't scarred and she'd never wear sleeveless stuff but I didn't want to make my first entry drab and crappy so I left her shirtless and let her grow out her undercut. I'd prefer if you only doll her this way if you have my permission |: this was a unique circumstance.
Soooooooooooooooooo C: that's it. Both bases are ~TheHWord
MDE is run by Debb this year.

I'd like to echo the comments others have made on her outfit. The dress is beautiful, as is its shading; the pattern doesn't detract from it at all, which isn't that easy to pull off. That's a cute skull on her bag, too; I just noticed it now, actually.

You've anti-aliased the borders of the doll, but not inside the doll. Her eyes currently look very harsh; this can be helped by anti-aliasing inside and around them. Eye shadow fades into the skin at the edges, so you can use a colour (or colours) halfway between the bronze colour of her eye shadow and the colour of her skin to smooth her eyelids out. Add some greyish colours between the whites of eyes and her eyelashes; this will make her eyes look rounder (right now it looks kind of rectangular).

I also suggest making the lightest colour of whites of her eyes actually white (or a very light grey), instead of the off-white colour you have now. Use some desaturated hues for the darker colours. The things I've stated previously in this paragraph also apply to her teeth. (Insert bad and untrue joke about British people having poor teeth... *sigh*)

Her hair has a lovely texture, but it's too flat. It doesn't curve around her head. I'm mostly talking about the portrait, here. Add shadows at the roots and behind her ears, highlights between those areas. You might need more than four shades for this, however. Another thing I noticed while examining her hair is that there's an extra highlight colour in the fullbody doll that isn't present in the portrait, which contributes to the fullbody's hair looking lighter than the portrait's.

Also, you might want to add some freckles to the fullbody's arms to match the portrait.

I don't know if you mind having other people drawing on your WIPs, but if I'm given permission then I can illustrate some of my points. If you're a visual learner, then that might help more than descriptions.

Oh wow thank you :3 <3 this was the kind of CC I've been wanting! You are certainly welcome to redline if you'd like and link it to me, I am a visual learner so sometimes seeing what people mean helps me more than reading it although I do gather what you're saying without it, it may help ;D I actually just sent her in yesterday *so sad now* but I'll make sure to keep an eye out about what you said and make an even better second round ! After all CC helps improve always not just in one round of a pageant xD
Thanks again C:

Wows, I have to say I want that dolls outfit... And swimsuit! Youve done a really good job including with the critique though I didn't see the previous version, I'm very impressed. It's detailed on such a small scale! Well done :D!

Wow thank you so much!! <3 The previous version is here actually if you want to look xD I thought I included it in my description but I don't think I did oops! XD
I really appreciate that thank you ;u;
